Update Aquatic is here! Just two days ago, Mojang, the makers of Minecraft, rolled out 1.13, a major update to the Java edition of Minecraft known as Update Aquatic. This new update brings with it lots of cool features and an expansion of Minecraft’s underwater universe.
Unfortunately, for organizations and individuals who run Minecraft servers that use plug-ins (that includes us!), the release means a temporary incompatibility between the update and our servers.
There’s a very easy way around this. Simply revert back to using the 1.12.2 edition of the game while our servers are updated (this should take about a month). Otherwise, you will not be able to get on our servers. Here are step-by-step instructions for making sure you are using 1.12.2:
Open the Minecraft Launcher
At the top, click Launch Options
Then, Add New - and choose 1.12.2
Once you’ve done that, hit Save, then reopen the Launcher
To the right of the play button will now be a green button to click and bring up other versions
Select 1.12.2 and then play
Counselors will let you know when you’ll be able to explore all that Update Aquatic has to offer during our camps and labs. In the meantime, keep on keeping on in 1.12.2!
Please let us know if you have any questions.
