Day 1 - Setting up

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcdnZOSnR1MkUyZ0k>

Expedition members: musuney, Wheezy0909, RRTF8, cuti3pututi3, GamerGirl94, mtsawat, theturtlekid, Taragilham22

Survival Camp has finally started for our new campers! Yellow Team are dubbed the “Adventurers” and are primarily interested in exploring the world around us and gathering new and rare items. But before we can go into an expedition, we need to stock up on supplies — mainly armor, weapons, and most importantly food!

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcYjUxbG5sbUhDQzQ>

The day started of with the community farm where we plant lots of wheat for bread too feed our oftentimes hungry adventurers. So far it seems like cuti3pututi3 and GamerGirl94 have worked hard to keep the supply coming!

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcTkJfVlZGdWk3Z3c>

Inside our humble house are all the necessary ingredients for survival and storage! It has been difficult to keep the furnaces filled with coal so we have to work together to get more! I see theturtlekid in the mines often, collecting all kinds of ores.

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFceWM3d2VCOVdtLUU>

Next we have our new docks/fishing area! See that enderman right there? Well Wheezy0909 and Taragilham22 worked together to slay it to get a prized Enderpearl! Unfortunately Taragilham accidentally used it xD No worries, we’ll get another Enderman next time!

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcTEZXRXQ2ZWJIb1k>

Here we have our “Ore Hut” just behind our docks and fishing area. This is where we store our prized ores. It’s looking pretty bare as of the moment, so we have to collect more tomorrow! When I was roaming around our mines, I noticed that someone found a ravine that we can possibly explore. Hopefully I can get some of the yellow team to explore it with me tomorrow!

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcYzhvQk9PYWpOa1E>

Lastly, we actually have 2 houses it seems like on top of the hill! I couldn’t take a screenshot of the other one (which I believe cuti3pututi3 made), but I’ll make sure to take one tomorrow! What’s the purpose of these houses? I’m not sure yet, but we’ll most likely find out!

We made good progress today Yellow Team. :smiley: Tomorrow I’m going to challenge you guys to come up with a team name for Yellow Team! We’ll then take a vote and decide it. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions!

*Sorry for the delay! But here it is! :smile:

Day 2 - Expansion
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcX2ZSdUZaNzA2WXM>
Expedition members: musuney, Wheezy0909, RRTF8, cuti3pututi3, mtsawat, GamerGirl94, theturtlekid, Taragilham22 (We gained one or two more members at the end but I don’t particularly remember who they were. D:)

Day 2 survival camp was fun, but we were somewhat plagued with stealing issues. :frowning: I sure hope we can fix that tomorrow, because stealing takes out the fun of the game! But on another note, lots of new things were built today — mainly houses!

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcdTd0U0xLNTBvU0k>

The daily goal today was to make a ship! Why? Because the “Trading Area” opened up! So that meant we needed a way to get back to the original docks other than dying. Built a very nice ship today, and the sentient being Broadcast approved it and gave us a warp to get back to the docks. Meanwhie in the Trading area, teams can trade items with other teams. But so far none of the teams have successfully used it yet. Here’s hoping tomorrow we can get creative and interact with the other teams through trading!

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcOXZIa0JTaU1WRlk>

One of the few improvements to the camp was a larger farm! We noticed that we didn’t have enough food to meet the demand of the colony, so we expanded it. Looks much better now doesn’t it? We will possibly be expanding it even further to house other crops! Maybe we can trade crops with the other teams?

Lastly, the main additions to our colony were personal houses! We had issues of break-ins and robberies lately at the colony, and we hope to find the culprit. But in the meantime, we as a team need to work together to make the colony as fun for us as possible!

Just a quick reminder to the campers that stealing is a big NO NO, and it’s not that hard for me to catch who’s breaking blocks or taking things from chests. :open_mouth: Let’s all be mindful and respectful of each other’s things okay? Besides, trust me, asking for something isn’t that hard to do! If we ask nicely and respect other people’s things, it’s more fun for everyone involved. So we must always remember to ask permission before changing someone else’s things.

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcTS05amNpWEIzalk>

Cuti3pututi3’s house where most of the stealing in the colony happened. I won’t get mad at who stole the things, but please ask permission before you touch anything inside the house alright? :slight_smile: But other than that, the inside looks really pretty. Plus she found a flower! Flowers don’t normally grow where we are.

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcQUtQOFdaVUIzQWc>

Taragilham’s house! I went inside and it was pretty bare at the moment. But I believe Taragilham’s gonna spice it up a bit tomorrow. I noticed this was built near the end of the camp, so probably not enough time to decorate. I can’t wait to see the finished product though!

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcaUtLcmpiX3RVWU0>

I’m still not entirely sure who owns this house, but do note that this has been here since the start of the camp! I’ll try to figure it out tomorrow. Though I think I have a good idea about who it belongs to.

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcU00wNEh3QzVYalE>

GamerGirl’s house! I couldn’t take the chance to take a look inside since the server closed right after I took this snapshot. So now I’m utterly curious. Oh, one more thing to mention, I do appreciate GamerGirl’s contribution to the camp! She has been incredibly helpful both to the campers and to me as well, and I’m really thankful that she’s very giving and kind. :smiley:

But anyhow, that’s it for me today. I hope to see everyone tomorrow for a new day of fun and adventure!

P.S. I’ll try again to push everyone to think of a team name. xD So far it didn’t go too well today. But onwards!

Day 3 - Mob Invasion
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcWjZOSWh1eTU0ckE>
Expedition members: musuney, Wheezy0909, RRTF8, cuti3pututi3, GamerGirl94, theturtlekid, Taragilham22, Annism

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another forum post regarding the Yellow Adventurers at the Survival Colony Camp! (I’ll try again tomorrow to get a team name xD)

So I thought I’d switch this post up a bit because there weren’t that many new buildings in the colony. HOWEVER, we had a lot of events and camper interactions today which I thought was a lot more fun to share with you all. Prepare yourself for an onslaught of screenshots! :smiley:

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcODlKVGh2ampZd2M>

Here we see an act of kindness by RRTF8! So theturtlekid was asking everyone if they had wood, and although Cuti3Pututi3 and I told him we had some, RRTF8 just immediately went to theturtlekid and gave him some. Great job RRTF8~

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcbjNZYU4xcUctOGc>

On a side note, here is RRTF8 enjoying a good night’s rest and an amazing scenic view on top of our ship’s mast. Interesting location to put a bed. xD

Next up, we had a couple of mob invasions happening in the colony! I couldn’t take a screenshot of each and every one, but the mobs include baby zombies riding on chickens, giant slimes, giant zombies, witches, and zombie pigmen! Everyone had lots of fear and fun, but we all worked together to gather our defenses to defeat them.
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcRVVkMnhud1hqc0E>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFca3VZeVh4QzZNX2s>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcWENvQXFhaThzdDg>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcVzkzU0JaM29Vb00>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcUzlsV0hnRkFnNzA>

And finally, the event of the day — the Attack of the Wither! Apparently the Wither Summoner hijacked Broadcast’s system to wreak havoc upon the camp! He said he would summon the Wither on one of the colonies, but he wouldn’t tell us which one. So we waited and waited, word for word he would give us clues and everyone was afraid he would choose them. But when the time came when he finally summoned the Wither, it turned out to be inside the Yellow team’s base!

Broadcast, regaining some of his system communications back, sent a distress signal to the other teams to come over and help defeat the Wither! Fortunately, a lot of campers came in to help from the other teams — Yellow is so thankful to everyone!
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcUHdVcmZRWjVJVm8>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcVFRLa1hWQmdBX28>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcNDYyUHR4bW1zZ2s>

This screenshot was taken a bit late, but at one point, all of Red and Purple team as well as more than half of orange team, and still a couple from Blue team came in to help out! It was a great display of friendship and camaraderie between all the teams!

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcN2xQMVVnbHI0b00>

This screenshot signifies the moment the Wither was defeated, and boy was it a great victory! The mods threw a cake party with everyone to congratulate them on defeating the fearsome Wither!

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcNU4zVkxRcVhXelk>

Today was a productive day of making friends and helping each other out in times of great dangers. Sharing armor and weapons, as well as giving out food to help out our fighters was amazing to see! So awesome job today. Until tomorrow everyone!

I apologize for the late post! Been a long day~ But I hope this was worth the wait.

Day 4 - Fungus Infection / Nether Portal Opening
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcYURkaWY2S2lsMG8>
*I lost track of expedition members… xD So far it has shuffled a bit, so I’m going to let the screenshots talk for themselves.

Fungus Infection
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcUFNCTUp2YVZVWmc>
First up, our colony was infected by fungus (ala red and brown mushroom!) We had giant mushrooms sprouting everywhere, but you know what that meant? Mushroom soup! Now I think the colony’s not going to go hungry anymore.

Skeleton Horse Pen
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFccXdRY1pPbDl4SW8>
During a thunderstorm, skeleton horses appeared near our camp! So GamerGirl lent a couple of us saddles so we could tame them. The colony now has a new pen for Skeleton horses! Actually, this screenshot needs to be updated. Cuti3pututi3 caught her own skeleton horse as well and we added it in.

Unknown Structure
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcY3Z5SmktSlpMVEk>
So it seemed like someone built this in the camp and I’m not exactly sure what it is. Might be a pool of some sort? I might find out tomorrow!

RRTF8’s House
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcT09RWFk2eE5BVGc>
I also finally found out who this house belonged to! It was RRTF8 all this time! Not sure if I mentioned this before, but a couple of days ago, I was telling him if he wanted to build a house for himself because it looked like he was bored. I asked him again today and he told me he already had a house to my surprise! And it was the house that had no name. Such a coincidence.

Cuti3Pututi3’s possessed door
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcWFNONDN0V2hPV1E>
Something interesting happened today at Cuti3Pututi3’s house. Apparently her door would open and close for no reason, which was a bit scary. I never got to the bottom of it, but hopefully it resolves itself tomorrow! I’ve never heard of possessed doors before. On a side note, speaking of Cuti3Pututi3, I believe she was running a shield decorating business of some sort! If you give her 1 iron, she’s going to craft a pretty shield for you. Give it a try!

theturtlekid’s project
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcb2l1NXBpYTR2dWs>
Hey there turtlekid, say cheese! So the interior of our little community house was somewhat redesigned, it looks prettier with oak wood now! But anyway, I noticed theturtlekid has been asking for some strange number of items from everyone, namely obsidian, leather, and glass and I was wondering what he was making. It turned out, he made an enchantment table! That was very surprising, it has always seemed like turtlekid’s one step ahead of us this whole time. Well because he made an enchantment table, I wanted to help him actually make it work, so we expanded the farm to include sugarcane for paper!

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcazNjUGdrYUxSNUU>

I’m not sure if turtlekid has enough paper (and next leather for books!) to make the table work, but we’ll find out tomorrow!

Nether excursion
Next up is our quick excursion into the Nether! Today was the day that Herobrine came to visit the teams because he wanted to let them know he wanted to take over the world. To do so, he had to open the Nether portal for some reason…? Actually, I don’t quite understand why he had to open the nether portal to rule the world. Might be best to ask him tomorrow. lol

But anyhow, we had all the teams check out the Nether for the first time in the camp, and while some were very enthusiastic about it, some were a bit scared! Nevertheless, I think that whoever decided to brave the Nether had a great time exploring!

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcU1RJOGkxNU1lSjg>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcQWxrY0ROUVZIRUk>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcMzNDeXFld3hyRDQ>

Well that’s it for me today! Tomorrow’s the last day for the camp and we’re planning something special! Although we’re still dealing with the “Stealing” epidemic, it has toned down as of late — well in Yellow team at least. We still have issues but we’ll get through them as a team! :smiley: On another note, I gave up trying to ask for a team name… haha I think Yellow Adventurers describes this team pretty well! So I hope they continue with that adventurer heart until the last day of the camp!

Day 5 - The End

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcejkwMzFHVTZvVFk>

Last hello to everyone! Today was the last day for Survival Camp and it was a bittersweet moment for all teams indeed. Not much new buildings on this last day as we spent most of the time preparing for the final boss battle — the Enderdragon! We had to gather armor, food, and weapons to really prepare ourselves for the battle. This last post will mostly chronicle the preparation for the battle, the battle itself, and the cake and fireworks party we had afterwards!

Training Grounds
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcYjhHdUZuWnp2OGM>
So I made this little arena where our yellow adventurers could gain levels to enchat their stuff. From yesterday we know that theturtlekid made an enchantment table! Well he finally completed it, and the last thing to do was gain levels to enchant his armor. Because I didn’t just want to give him the levels through enchantment bottles, I decided hey, why not make training grounds for the campers to gain levels in? I spawned zombies and pigmen and I think both had a great time fighting the mobs off and levelling!

Entering the End
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcU3JoMmJKV01sNVk>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcYlMwUTNsVjlvb1k>

The End opened up about an hour after the camp started and boy was it an exciting event! Once the End opened up, you could see everyone get TPd to spawn all geared up and ready to take on the mighty beast Enderdragon!

Enderdragon Fight
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcWm93UzE3X25XajA>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcV3dDSS1sYmE2Tmc>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcVDBKVjVrOTFhWFU>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcN1laT2ZwOU84VFU>

The Battle for the Enderdragon was like an all-out war between our camp and the Enderdragon’s onslaught of Endermen! There were a lot of deaths and rebirths. For anyone who hasn’t fought the Enderdragon, there’s a bit of strategy that goes into defeating it. There are obsidian towers around the middle spawn of the dragon, and each of those towers contain crystals that heal the Enderdragon once its in the vicinity of the crystal. Therefore, it is the campers’ jobs to destroy the crystals before pursuing the dragon itself. Everyone worked together to destroy the crystals before they could finally lay blows on the Enderdragon. It must have been the fight of a lifetime! Lots of deaths and lost things, but I think everyone can agree that the time was well spent with fun and perseverance!

Party
<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcek1uSlJvZzIxa1k>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcWmw4Z0JMOFJ6TlE>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcSEdxQjVsRXhDNms>

<img src=http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B9vuAgJBMwFcbUwzWVIzZkc1dGM>

As with every major battle (like the Battle for the Wither), us mods threw a cake party when the Enderdragon was finally defeated (the fight lasted about 30 minutes)! The final 30 minutes were filled with cake, cookies, fireworks and colorful beacons! It was a time to bond with the other campers and to simply just enjoy the final moments of the camp. There were many goodbyes during these last few minutes and I’m not gonna lie, although this camp was challenging with all the theft going on, it’s nice to see the campers enjoy the last moments without any stealing at all.

We asked the campers to join our Free Kid Club if they wanted to continue seeing our regular campers (who were also in this camp) as well as the moderators on this camp! We run several things on the free Kid Club, and it would be lots of fun if we could see some of these campers on that server as well! :smiley: For those interested, the IP is glowstone.connectedcamps.com so we hope to see everyone there! We do things like Survival Bazaar (an economy), various Minigames (like CTF), and various build challenges with architecture and engineering club!

We truly hope everyone enjoyed this camp that many of our mods worked hard to build and run. It was an enjoying time for me at least, and I do look forward to looking some of our campers on this Survival Colony Camp onto the Kid Club server. :slight_smile:
